2011 made for a crappy year in BCs lower mainland. Six weeks of ‘summer’ (per my definition of the term) simply did not cut it. Previously, I had no desire to travel to warmer climes. That was about to change. Flights, a cabin and scooter were booked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a Tuesday in December within a couple hours of landing in Lihue, I was wandering barefoot in the sun and sand of a Kaua’i beach.<\/p>\n\n\n
