A day later, blue eyed no more.
Took a little time to build proper access to the beach from the shorefront trail…

…and was able to clean up before the rain.

This Little Brown Bat found it’s way into my home two night’s ago. I tried to get it to fly out through the open patio door a couple times to no avail. It would just swoop back and forth. Last night I left the patio door partially open when I went to bed. Soon, the inevitable mosquitoes made themselves know, then I heard the bat scrabbling at the opening. I got up and in the moonlight saw it at the floor of the opening. It then seemed to fly out, so I closed the door & screen. This morning when I opened the curtains, I discovered it clinging to the inside of the screen door. I popped the screen off and took it into the woods.
After a few minutes it fluttered off into the trees.

This Jack in the Pulpit has been coming up in the same spot for the last three years.
